Yano is the leader of Mitsuo's gang. He tried to fight Shinichi, but backed down after realizing how strong he was.
Appearance[]
Yano is a tall young man with black hair styled in an undercut, and some stubbly facial hair. He wears a brown jacket with a red shirt underneath.
Personality[]
Yano is described as arrogant-looking by Shinichi. As the leader of his gang, Yano shows a good sense of judgment, as he listens to his instinct that he was no match for someone such as Shinichi.
Plot[]
Yano was first seen asking Mitsuo what happened to him. He and the rest of his gang later confronted Hideo Shimada outside of school. Though Shimada initially refused their invitation, he eventually gave in and they headed to an open field.
Before they fought, Shinichi arrived and told Shimada to leave, as he'd deal with them. Shinichi then proceeded to point Yano out, correctly deducing him to be the leader of their gang, recognizing how he carried himself. Mitsuo noted that Shinichi had never met Yano before.
Yano approached Shinichi, and told him he liked the "look in his eyes," then threw a punch at Shinichi. Shinichi easily caught his punch, surprising Yano. He briefly squeezed Yano's fist, inciting the latter to pull his hand away in pain. In his fear, Yano decided to order the gang to leave. In that brief moment, Yano recognized Shinichi's strength, understanding that they would undoubtedly lose the fight.
Powers and Abilities[]
As the leader of Mitsuo's gang, Yano's fighting skill and strength is likely greater than Mitsuo or the other gang members.
