Impetuosity (性急に, Seikyū ni) is the 44th chapter of the Parasyte manga series, written and illustrated by Hitoshi Iwaaki.

Overview[]

Migi visits Shinichi in his dreams, and informs him to take the real world situation more seriously. After finishing his report, Kuramori escapes from the police, and goes to find Reiko. Later that night, Reiko is contronted by Kusano and two other parasites, and is told she is to be eliminated.

Summary[]

In a shared dream, Migi explains to Shinichi that it's due to their connection and that Shinichi is simply going to forget again just like every other time. Shinichi comments that Migi looks different in their dream, and Migi says Shinichi looks different as well. Migi then leaves and Shinichi immediately begins to forget. He wakes up on a bench and checks a newspaper, but finds no news of Kuramori's family. He wonders if Kuramori told them about him and begins to worry about what would happen.

Kuramori tells Hirama and Mita that he will quickly write up a report on what he knows. While watching him write, Mita remembers Hirama telling him about the parasites and their evasiveness, meaning a witness report may be the key. Kuramori then asks him to get some cigarettes and escapes while he is away. Mita hands the report to Hirama, who is impressed and disturbed by the information. He realizes that Kuramori must mean to get revenge on Reiko by himself, having left out her own address, and pulls hairs from each of his subordinates' heads to confirm they aren't parasite spies.

Kuramori follows Reiko to her house, but she walks away upon noticing three signals of hostility and finds Kusano and his followers. She requests her questions be answered first, which he allows, confirming that neither Gotou nor Hirokawa are involved. She then asks why and he tells her that his instinct warned him, prompting her to compare him to A. Rather than being threatened, she is pleased by them becoming individual enough to decide to kill her. As they approach, she asks if they thought the three of them were enough.

The male parasite attacks and Reiko uses her tentacle to propel her out of the field, prompting Kusano to demand her death regardless of witnesses.
